Day 4 - Novato to San Luis Obispo, 280 miles, 451 km

Well another foggy day along the coast, but more sun than yesterday...we took the highway 1 all the way down today, and this time we were able to drive it all, as a few years ago we got stopped by fires around Big Sur and had to turn back.  we did the Golden Gate bridge, which is now a toll bridge, so we'll wait and see what comes in the mail..  We also stopped to see the protected Elephant Sea Lions, and had a nice afternoon wandering around San Luis Obispo.

Crossing the Golden Gate in a fog!

A video of the approach to the bridge and crossing in the fog.. shot on the SJCAM 500 but reduced in quality to upload..

some shots along the way.. and of course some more car pics!

Stopping at the Sea Lion area..just in case we didn't know where we were...

We wandered around the town, visits the local historic chapel, walked through the local Greek festival, had a good dinner, and visited a local brewery for a nitecap..

My friend John Heselwood from Brisbane is on a trip to The Simpson Desert along with Alice, Kings Canyon mind you not in a Mini, in 3 cars all 4 wheel drive, its rain and cold there. Take care.
